For molders who need a sustainable future, eGate Sync is an electric valve gate that provides a plug and play solution. Unlike hydraulic/pneumatic systems, it enables process enhancements that brings to high process reliability and scrap rate reduction through improved repeatability.
It comes up as low cost electric actuation solution with a simple and intuitive control system.
Instead of a complex controller and user interface, eGate sync will interface with a customer’s existing SVGC to program & run the valve pin sequencing, just like with any hydraulically or pneumatically actuated system.
The eGate-sync hot runner system is supplied pre-wired and pre-plumbed, so installation is quick and easy.
The simple eGate-sync app is used to calibrate, set the valve pins, view valve pin status, adjust opening stroke for each zone. The eGate-sync app is pre-installed on the handheld user interface, which also has the capability of wirelessly connecting to the eGate-sync controller via Bluetooth.

New thermal side-gate nozzles – TFS series

The new open side-gate TFS hot runner is available in radial or linear layouts : TFS-Radial and TFS-Linear. Both are particularly suitable for injection molded parts requiring a cosmetic injection point as well as parts for which the optimal injection position is from the side – i.e., at a right angle to the direction that the mold opens. These applications include syringes, caps, tubes, medical sharps, as well as personal care, caps & closures, packaging products, electronic, and technical components.
The TFS-Linear comes equipped with 2+2 or 4+4 parallel nozzle tips, with minimum injection point spacing of 16 mm. The radial design features hot runner nozzles with 1, 2, or 4 nozzle tips. Most commercially available polymers (PP, HDPE, HIPS, PMMA, POM, PC, and many others) can be processed using the Thermoplay TFS design.

The cylindrical sealed area between the nozzle tip and cavity ensures maximum reliability during the injection phase. The attachment system makes both the radial and linear version remarkably easy to install or remove rapidly.

Superior hot-runner balancing for superior injection molded parts
The key to achieving superior part quality and minimal rejects is a smart design, precise construction of the injection mold, combined with a finely balanced hot runner system. A crucial aspect in hot runners is achieving an optimal design at bends and the injection point so that melt is processed gently and not damaged, all while ensuring temperature distribution is as homogeneous as possible. So what does our system do to achieve this?
Temperature management is the key to uniform filling
In order to achieve as the most homogeneous temperature distribution possible, Männer systems heat the nozzle body of the hot runner system and the tip. The result is precise individual temperature control, which is clearly seen in start-up behavior and short-shot tests. The lower the temperature deviation from cavity to cavity the better balanced the hot runner is and the more precise the part geometry because overfilling and underfilling are avoided allowing the molder to achieve the narrow tolerance values and impressive quality.
Long-wearing and rugged centering bushing
Because the long, narrow tip can be easily damaged due its narrow touching diameter, Männer developed a protective construction solution for the opposite bushing. The geometry of the robust bushing enables the slender core of the mold insert to be centered gently.
